The MetroWest STEM Education Network is one of eight Regional STEM Networks charged by the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council to coordinate the implementation of STEM Week 2019.
While we know that STEM education happens all year long, we hope that during STEM Week, schools and STEM stakeholders will be able to highlight or enhance their STEM course offerings, STEM-related activities, and relevant public-private partnerships to reach the goal of engaging a broad number of students, parents, community members, and business leaders in high quality, project-based STEM experiences.
The theme for STEM Week this year is “See Yourself in STEM” in order to highlight the:
diversity of identities that play a role in STEM fields
diversity and breadth of the sectors and occupations that require STEM skills and the opportunities that follow.
Our goal is to encourage more students to see themselves engaged in STEM fields, and to understand the multitude of opportunities open to them in all industries and in every corner of the Commonwealth. This year we would like to focus on high-quality, high-rigor events…QUALITY over quantity.
Are you preparing for STEM Week 2019?
If your event is located in MSEN’s region, please complete this form with information about the event you have scheduled so we can let others know about your STEM Week program. If you have more than one program, complete a form for each program.
